We already know who's gonna play Gandalf, Gollum, and Elrond but who is gonna get the key role of Bilbo Baggins?? Unfortunately Ian Holm is too old to reprise his brilliant performance of Bilbo from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Who could do the roll justice and bring "The Hobbit" to life??
Well, Many names are being tossed around..David Tennant, James Mcavoy, and Ewan McGregor. The popular belief was that Peter Jackson was gonna make the announcement at San Diego Comic Con but it was not to be so...“No, we won’t be announcing Bilbo for a little while. We’re starting to think about casting, but we’re knee-deep in the script right now. And when we do go to actors, they’re probably going to ask to see a script, so we’re powering ahead with getting the first draft done.” said Jackson at the SDCC. So I guess we will have to wait a little while longer.
I would like to see Mcavoy, from "Chronicles of Narnia" and "Wanted",but popular sentiment seems to be aiming at Tennant ,from "Doctor Who".
